'WWE Crown Jewel' 2018 Predictions

This is interesting...

WWE Crown Jewel isprobably the most controversial event in WWE history. Surprisingly, it's not even dealing with the in-ring talent. Politics are a headache, I guess. Since it looks like they are still going through with the event this should be a very intresting card. It should be a good time for old school fans and maybe a little confusing for the younger crowd. This event features The Undertaker, Triple H, Kane, and Shawn Michaels. It's 2018 feeling like the 90s all of a sudden. The matches on this card have that Wrestlemania feel to it, so it let's run down this craziness and make some predictions:

WWE World Cup

Well... this wasn't booked very well. They should've named it the U.S. Open. Everyone is American. The participants in the "World Cup" are from RAW and Smackdown. There are eight superstars in this: John Cena, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, and Rey Mysterio. This competition determines who the best in the world is (thought CM Punk claimed that already). There are many ways this could go. The matches should awesome and fun to watch. To sum things up real quick on this, each one of these superstars could take the cake so here's a shot in the dark...

Winner: The Miz

D-Generation X vs The Brothers of Destruction

Shawn "Sexy Boy" "The Heart Break Kid" Michaels is back!. If you would've told me a while ago Shawn would be in a match in 2018 I would've called you liar. So now Triple H and Shawn Michaels will take on Kane and The Undertaker. It feels like the 90s again. This match started in Australia when Triple H defeated The Undertaker. Clearly this is a short-term feud but maybe it will turn into a long-term... These men are coming into this match with a combined age of 300 at least, but hey if you're still healthy and wanna go, do your thing. Fans watching and at the show will have that feel-good moment. I'm sure there will be a lot of stare downs and they'll keep this slow paced. Shawn coming out of retirement for this is pretty awesome. We all know he's getting paid well so why not! All in all this match should exciting. Here's to Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker for one last match at Mania.

Winner: D-Generation X (Shawn Michaels and Triple H)

Roman Regins vs Brock Lesnar vs Braun Stroman

I feel like we get this match at every other special event WWE has, so whatever. Roman Regins is going in as the Universal Champion but will he leave as Champ?... Let's start off with Brock. I understand he is an attraction for the WWE but let's not put the title on a part-timer again. There has been talk for a while that Lesnar is going back to the UFC but who knows with this guy? The man is just hanging out at home, working out and getting full-time pay from WWE. He's a heck of a businessman. I wish I could pull something off like that. Anyway, Roman did defeat Brock for the title so I guess he gets some type of rematch. Braun Stroman won the money in the bank which gives you a shot at the champion whenever you please. Given Braun's heel turn and alliance with Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler hasn't really worked out well. But with this, both of those superstars should get back into some sort of title picture. I am expecting a run in by both guys to help Braun out, so this should be a slugfest of a match with these guys in there.

Winner: Roman Regins

AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan

I'm just going to start by saying... dream match!. If you're a wrestling fan you are for sure excited about this match-up. When Bryan came back from his injury I think about every fan had this match in mind but wasn't too sure when it would happen. If they would've saved this match for the main event at WrestleMania we would all be fine with this. With the WWE Champion on the line, this match should give us a lot false finishes which will keep us on the edge of our seats. Thanks to The Miz, he has done his best to stir up some fight into these two to build for this match. With The Miz lurking in the background of all of this and his history with Daniel Bryan, it should be interesting. Bryan may not be able to focus fully on this match when it starts, knowing The Miz could attack at anytime. Thus, it will set up a triple threat at some point in the future. That being said, I think this will bring energy and give the fans a show they'll never forget.

Winner: Draw (Miz comes out to attack Bryan)
