This Year's Basketball Shoes
This year brought us some pretty fire kicks on the court in the NBA.
NBA stars all around the league have come out with their own shoe lines, signing with varied brands such as Nike, Under Armour, Jordan, and Adidas. Nike has big stars lined up with them, including: LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Paul George. The biggest Under Armour name in the game is 2- time MVP, 3-time NBA Champion Stephen Curry. Jordan, who's biggest success in shoes was obviously Michael Jordan, roped in the beast of Russel Westbrook to produce his first shoe and amazing Rockets guard Chris Paul. Adidas was able to sign Portland Point Guard Damian Lillard and Houston Rockets Guard James Harden. LaVar Ball and his sons spearheaded the BBB shoe takeoff, and DeMar DeRozan dropped a special look in the playoffs.
LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers)
Aside from his LeBron 15 line shown above, LeBron also released another mark of shoes to his "Soldier" line.
Kevin Durant (Golden State Warriors)
The new Golden State Forward released these spicy kicks last year after he won Finals MVP after Golden State cleaned up Cleveland 4-1 in the Finals.
Kyrie Irving (Boston Celtics)
The fourth shoe for 1x NBA Champion Kyrie Irving dropped in April, 2018. This edition of his 4th shoe was made for the movie he is starring in, called Uncle Drew. Irving is an actor in the movie who plays an aged streetballer, playing alongside with Shaquille O'Neal.
Paul George (Oklahoma City Thunder)
OKC Thunder Forward Paul George released his PG 2s in February of 2018. The recent trade to the Thunder came just after he had released his first shoe line, and these shoes are modeled after his favorite pass time hobby of fishing.
Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors)
These first-time low-tops for now 3x NBA Champion Steph Curry released right as the Finals were beginning.
Stephy Curry Part 2
These beautiful high tops came out last November. They were worn by Curry in the same finals series where Kevin Durant also wore his "Finals" edition shoes shown above.
Russel Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder)
The dominating Point Guard of the OKC Thunder finally go this own hoops shoes this year. These shoes released in February of 2018.
Chris Paul (Houston Rockets)
These shoes were debuted on the feet of this All-Star Guard weeks before the playoffs started, and were also officially released at the same time. Paul wore them here and there throughout the playoffs, and even wore in the Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors.
Damian Lillard (Portland Trailblazers)
Damian Lillard released his new "Dame 4" shoes in October of 2017. These above Black Panther Editions came after the movie, but are still a sight to see.
James Harden (Houston Rockets)
This MVP caliber shooting guard debuted these shoes all throughout the '17-18 NBA season, and they were released to buy in the early months of 2018. They also have an unusual amount of colorways, yet all of them are still naturally cool.
Lonzo Ball (Los Angeles Lakers)
Lonzo Ball, who came out of UCLA, dropped these first shoes while he was still playing in the NBA Sumer League last summer as a rookie. He continued to wear them mostly throughout the season.
LaMelo Ball (Los Angeles Ballers of the Junior Basketball Association/JBA)
The younger brother of Lonzo Ball, and the son of LaVar Ball (the founder of the Junior Basketball Association), released these shoes last December. Because these shoes released before he entered the JBA, these shoes made him the first High School basketball player to ever have his own shoe line.
Bonus:
These superior shoes were worn by Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan in the first round of the Playoffs against the Washington Wizards. They are a part of Kobe Bryant's shoe lines, but worn by DeRozan.
Bonus Pt 2:
In Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics Rookie Guard Jayson Tatum wore the special Kyrie 4s. Even after Tatum dunked on LeBron James, the Celtics went on to lose that game and therefore losing the series.
