The Best Show You're Probably Not Watching Right Now

Ball in the Family shows more true colors from the circus ride that is the Ball Family.

All the talk from LaVar Ball over the past six or so months has turned a few people away from the Ball family and disregarding Lonzo Ball as a basketball player due to his father's extravagant personality. LaVar has said that Lonzo is better than two time NBA MVP Steph Curry; he's also said that he would beat Michael Jordan in a 1-on-1 game. "Never lost." LaVar has the biggest personality of a sports parent that I've ever seen and I can't keep my eyes off the Ball family as a whole.

LaVar is a marketing genius whether you like him or not. He's kept the entire family, not just Lonzo, in the news as much as possible and people can't stop talking about him on all the large sports networks. LaVar has been selling basketball shoes under the Big Baller Brand for over $400 and people actually buy them. If you don't like the Ball family or specifically LaVar, watching Ball in the Family will most definitely change your mind.

Ball in the Family

Ball in the Family is being released weekly on Sunday's on Facebook. If you don't have a Facebook then, uhhhh, hop on that because LaVar will suck you into this somehow and he will keep reeling in the money.

Even though the spotlight is constantly surrounding the Ball family, they are still a semi-normal family with semi-normal problems. There are four episodes up on the Ball in the Family Facebook page thus far, and each of them have something in the episode that surprises me.

In the first episode you get to see Lonzo's draft experience and how LaVar "speaks it into existence." Lonzo finally gets to wear the purple and gold just as his father had apparently been saying since the day Lonzo was born. For someone to be drafted has to be an incredible experience, but the Ball family had to have been hurting that their mother, Tina, wasn't able to attend after suffering a stroke just a few months before. LaVar refuses to have nurses come to physical and speech therapy because he feels like he could do better. He puts extensive work into Tina's therapy and he seems like the most cocky yet incredible guy all at the same time.

LaVar Ball impresses me in one way or another in each of the first four episodes so far, and LaMelo continues to make me laugh at each of his stupid antics. Ball in the Family is the first Facebook show that I've watched on its platform, and I have to say that I am impressed with how it has been conducted. You get a notification when the show is live on Facebook, and there hadn't been ads on the show until the fourth episode. Facebook has really done a great job with conducting this show and I'm sure it wasn't a cheap price tag to steal it from other channels.

I'll be back every Monday for the foreseeable future of the show with my opinions and takes on that weeks episode of Ball in the Family. If you don't have a Facebook get one, then go on and watch the first four episodes. You won't regret it.
