For many, the return of professional football is a favorite time of year. We get to be reconnected with our favorite players and football loving friends. No one can deny that watching football comes along with much debate among fans and sports newscasters. Discussions about which defense is the hardest to defeat, which draft picks will prove to be successful, and what new uniforms look the best on the field can be heard in many sports bars and living rooms across the country. Among these discussions, there is always one debate that comes up while watching football with my friends. Men and women alike all seem to have their opinions about who is the hottest quarterback and why. What better way to welcome the new season of football than with a list ranking the ten hottest quarterbacks this year?

10. Drew Brees - The New Orleans Saints

As Saint’s fans say, “Who dat?” Drew Brees, of course. As one of the NFL’s oldest quarterbacks, Brees has had a pretty great career, mostly with the New Orleans Saints. He ranks number ten on this list because he doesn’t have the dashing looks of some of the other quarterbacks listed, but he is in great shape and kind of reminds one of their elementary school bestie’s hot dad. Adding to his hotness quotient, Brees was greatly involved with the community of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina destroyed much of the city. To top it off, he led his team to Super Bowl victory shortly after the natural disaster helping him make it to number ten on this list of hottest quarterbacks.

9. Nick Foles - The Philadelphia Eagles

No one can deny that winning looks good. Although Foles may not the first quarterback to come to mind when you think of the classically handsome type, his blonde hair, blue eyes, and boyish good looks are all there. He started his NFL career on the Eagles only to return five years later to back up 2016 first round draft pick, Carson Wentz. Foles ended up playing for Wentz starting week 14 and led the team to their first Super Bowl victory by the end of the season. He wasn’t too proud to be a back up and it paid off. His Super Bowl success and adorable daughter definitely make him all the more attractive and likable.

8. Marcus Mariota - The Tennessee Titans

Aloha! One of the less seasoned quarterbacks on this list, Marcus Mariota, is from Hawaii and of Samoan and German descent. His caramel complexion and friendly smile are enough to make any girl swoon. So far, he has shown promise in the NFL, winning two playoff games last season. We look forward to see how Mariota and the Titans fare this year.

7. Andy Dalton - The Cincinnati Bengals

There is something about a fiery redhead playing for an orange team that just catches the eye. Dalton is able to pull off orange hair and orange eyebrows like no man I have ever seen. His career hasn’t been the most exciting as he has not been to a playoff game since the 2014 season and hasn’t managed to win a single playoff game yet. However, this doesn’t dampen his determination. He is married to his college sweetheart and has two beautiful boys, making him an All-American type of hottie.

6. Joe Flacco - The Baltimore Ravens

Flacco is the first quarterback on this list that just makes you go, “Mmm.” Being tall, dark, and handsome with a genuine smile and deep bedroom eyes definitely makes him stand out in the looks department. He has had a very steady career so far in the NFL, making it to the playoffs in over half of his seasons and winning the Super Bowl in 2012. Flacco and the Ravens have struggled to make it to the post season games the past three seasons, but I can forgive those stumbles and would not turn him away if he came tapping at my chamber door.

5. Derek Carr - The Oakland Raiders

For the past 30 or so years, the Raiders have stood out as the bad boys of the NFL. Derek Carr, with his shaved black hair and constant five o’clock shadow, definitely fits the bad boy persona. Add to that his light blue eyes that somehow always look like they are outlined in eyeliner, but in a good way, Carr just screams the look of the boy who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks but his girlfriends know the real him and want to set him straight. In reality, Carr isn’t much of a bad boy as he is a devout Christian who is married with two sons. So far, Carr has found some success as a Raider but hasn’t managed to make it to any post season games yet, despite being very close in 2016 before he suffered an unfortunate shoulder injury. Hopefully the Dark Knight of the NFL will have some better luck this season.

4. Jimmy Garoppalo - The San Fransisco 49ers

Apparently, the Patriots only accept extremely handsome men to play quarterback on their team. Garopallo played backup for the legendary Tom Brady as a Patriot starting in the 2014. He was traded to the 49ers towards the end of the 2017 season and seemed to bring the 49ers back to life, winning all five games he played in. Clearly, Garropalo learned quite a bit in New England, including how to be super hot. He is another tall, dark, and handsome type who looks great with or without facial hair especially because of his adorable dimples. Many great quarterbacks in history have been noticeably handsome, so maybe Jimmy G will go down in history as one of them.

3. Cam Newton - The Carolina Panthers

Another tall glass of water in the NFL these days is Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers. Sometimes arrogance makes a man less attractive, but Newton’s attitude comes off more as confidence which anyone can appreciate. Although he sometimes has an odd sense of style, Cam Newton always looks good with one of the biggest, brightest smiles to be seen anywhere. Although he does not have a Super Bowl win under his belt yet, he has had a notable career so far and took the Panthers to the big game in the 2015 season. Newton’s enthusiasm is never boring, making him a high up hottie on this list.

2. Tom Brady - The New England Patriots

As much as I hate to admit it, Tom Brady really needs no introduction, especially when talking about hotness and football. Even at 41, Brady has the face of a male model to go along with his wife who is an actual model. His talent, of course, makes him hotter as he has only missed the playoffs during three seasons in his 17-year career. He has led the Patriots to the Super Bowl eight times, winning five of those times. Brady would probably make it to number one on this list if he could be a bit less irritable when his teammates make mistakes and could show a tiny bit of humility from time to time. Either way, Brady is a hottie through and through.

1. Aaron Rodgers - The Green Bay Packers

Cha Ching! This year Aaron Rodgers became the highest paid NFL quarterback, signing a contract to continue to play for the Packers for the next six years. It may be shallow, but money is never unattractive. Nevertheless, you only need to look at a few pictures of Rodgers to notice his rugged good looks, gorgeous blue eyes, and million dollar smile. Aside from the obvious, his talent makes him a very hot quarterback. He was always a talent, even in college, but was disappointingly drafted 24th overall by the Packers in 2005 to backup long time quarterback Brett Favre. He spent three years on the bench and had pretty big shoes to fill once Favre left the Packers. He was met with a chilly reception as he became the starter in 2008, but by the time he brought the Packers to Super Bowl victory in the 2010 season every cheesehead worshiped Aaron and said, “Brett who?” Due to injuries, Rodgers has had a rough few seasons since 2010, but he never gives up or places blame on anyone else when his team struggles. His down-to-earth and entertaining personality makes him the hottest quarterback in the NFL today.
