NFL Week 11 Picks Against the Spread
I survived week 10. Now on to the next.
Week 11 NFL. Can't believe we are already here; the season is flying by. And you know what? Time needs to slow down and chill the fuck out for a bit. Seriously time, how about you relax? It seems like a two weeks ago it was still somewhat warm outside in New York. Now it is fucking freezing, and I am not handling this well. I shouldn't have to wear a winter coat in mid-November—brutal. I need to get somewhere warm and get myself a tan ASAP.
Anyways, back to week 11. Week 10 was a boring week of football—so ridiculously boring. My picks did not start out promising. The Bengals, who I thought would cover the spread, got their dicks blown off and lost by over 40. And the Falcons lost to the lowly Cleveland Browns. Just gross, but I rebounded and ended up finishing the week 3-2 for another above .500 week for ya boy! So, without further ado, here are my selections for Week 11. Note: I do NOT like this week's slate of games, but because I'm loyal to my fans, we march on regardless. So here we go:
Panthers -4.5 against the Lions: I know the Panthers are on the road, but they are coming off a brutal loss where they got blown out by the Steelers last Thursday night. I still like Carolina as a team, and I expect they take out their rage on Detroit this week. Plus, Detroit seems to have packed it in.
Giants -1.5 against the Bucs: Do I want the Giants to win and screw up their draft status? No, not particularly. However, this Tampa Bay team is very bad and I don't believe the Giants will go winless at home so I am backing for the second straight week. Weird stuff, I know.
Redskins +3 against Houston: I really do not know what to make of this Redskins team. I do not think they are particularly good, but home underdogs have performed well this year, so that is the only reason I am making this play. In a normal week where I liked the slate, I wouldn't touch this.
Titans +2 against the Colts: I saw what the Titans did to the Patriots last week and they are just a tough team. A frustrating team, but a tough team and Head Coach Mike Vrabel has them playing hard. Now Andrew Luck has been putting up crazy numbers this year; he's thrown 3 TD passes in for a month straight, but I think Tenn is just a better team.
Falcons -3.5 against the Cowboys: Okay, now it's officially weird. I hate this Falcons team; I really do. They burnt me last week, so why the hell would I go back to the well? The answer is simple, I just don't trust this Cowboys team and the game is in Atlanta (Cowboys are 1-4 on the road this year). The Falcons at home is a very different team than the Falcons on the road, so that's what I am clinging on to (it feels gross).
Good luck to all the bettors out there.
Last Week: 3-2
Season Overall: 29-20-2
