The 2018 NFL Draft which takes place Thursday, April 26 to Saturday, April 28th

1. Cleveland Browns: Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield

Passing on Carson Wentz and Deshaun Watson has been a curse to the Browns who haven’t picked the right quarterback since 2000. Here is them finding their future quarterback in Baker Mayfield.

2. New York Giants: RB Saquon Barkley, Penn State

The Giants had two options: Drafting the heir apparent to Eli Manning or drafting Saquon Barkley or Bradley Chubb to help their team win now. With this pick, they chose RB Saquon Barkley. I love this pick a lot as Barkley will help the Giants’s offense a lot.

3. New York Jets: QB Sam Darnold, USC

With the Cleveland Browns selection of Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield, the Jets go with Darnold here, as he will hopefully be the Jets Quarterback of the future.

4. Cleveland Browns: CB Denzel Ward, Ohio State

The Browns addressed their first pick with a quarterback, and now they’re coming back with the selection of Ohio State cornerback, Denzel Ward. If Denzel turns out like former Ohio State CB Marshon Lattimore did for the Saints, the Browns are in for a treat.

5. Denver Broncos: DE Bradley Chubb, NC State

With pick number five, the Broncos select DE Bradley Chubb. Chubb will help Edge Rusher Von Miller getting to the opponent’s quarterback.

6. Indianapolis Colts: Guard Quenton Nelson, Norte Dame

The Indianapolis Colts's o-line need a lot of help. Their star quarterback, Andrew Luck, has gotten beaten up a lot. With the selection of Nelson, the Colts now have a better chance of keeping Luck up and not being hit.

7. Buffalo Bills: QB Josh Allen, Wyoming

The Buffalo Bills traded up from 12 to 7 to get their quarterback. With the seventh overall pick, they select QB Josh Allen from Wyoming. With the pick, the Bills hope he can lead them to the promise land, as in the Super Bowl. I think the pick is okay. He’s going to need time to develop.

8. Chicago Bears: LB Raquon Smith, Georgia

As much as they want Quenton Nelson, he wasn’t on the board here. The Bears will move on to their second option in LB Raquon Smith, who will help the Bears pass and rush defense a lot.

9. San Francisco 49ers: Tackle Mike McGlinchey, Norte Dame

With the ninth overall pick, the 49ers select Notre Dame Tackle, Mike McGlinchey. McGlinchey will go in and start to protect Jimmy G up in San Francisco.

10. Arizona Cardinals: QB Josh Rosen, UCLA

The Arizona Cardinals trade up with the Oakland Raiders to get their QB in Josh Rosen, who they think is the best quarterback in the draft. They sign Sam Bradford to a one-year deal, and after that, the team plans to handle the key to Rosen for the future.

11. Miami Dolphins: Safety Minhak Fitzpatrick, Alabama

One of the best players in this draft fell all the way down to 11 when Minhak fell to the Miami Dolphins. With Minhak, the Dolphins could move and line him up all over the field, whether it’s at safety, in the slot, at outside corner, or sending him on a blitz. Minhak to the Dolphins is one of the best draft picks that I think happened tonight.

12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DT Vita Vea, Washington Redskins

Honestly, I thought the Buccaneers would select Safety Derwin James, but with this selection, the Buccaneers select Washington DT Vita Vea with the thirteen-overall pick. Pairing Vea with Pro Bowler Gerald McCoy gives the Buccaneers a one-two punch at the defensive tackle spot.

13. Washington Redskins: DT Da’Ron Payne, Alabama

At 13, the Redskins select DT Da’Ron Payne from the University of Alabama. Grabbing Payne will give the Redskins another option that can disrupt the passing from other quarterbacks, as he can knock down the football at the line of scrimmage and can even pick the ball off. The Redskins can also use Payne on the Offensive side and they can plug him as a fullback on goal line and throw the ball his way.

14. New Orleans Saints: DE Marcus Davenport, UTSA

The Saints went all in on their team as trading up with Green Bay Packers to select DE Marcus Davenport. The Saints believe Davenport is the missing piece to their team and will help them get back to the Super Bowl.

15. Oakland Raiders: Tackle Kolton Miller, UCLA

With this selection of Miller, the Raiders are trying to make sure that they can protect Derek Carr and keep him from being sacked.

16. Buffalo Bills: LB Tremaine Edmunds, VA Tech

At 16, Bills trade up from 22 to select LB Tremaine Edmunds from VA Tech. Edmunds is 19 and must develop some more, but the Bills believe he has a lot of upsides and that’s why they draft him.

17. Los Angeles Chargers: Safety Derwin James, Florida State

At 17, the Chargers selected Safety Derwin James from Florida State. James will be a good Safety and he can move around and make certain plays that will help the Chargers win their division.

18. Green Bay Packers: CB Jaire Alexander, Louisville

The Packers tried to get better on defense with the selection of CB Jaire Alexander. Jaire is long and athletic and can go against the number one receiver on opposite team.

19. Dallas Cowboys: ILB Leighton Vander Esch, Boise State

Many thought the Dallas Cowboys would pick a wide receiver with this pick. They were wrong. At 19, the Cowboys select Inside Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch from Boise State. The Cowboys feel like he could be another Sean Lee and hope he can get them out in a huge way. Hopefully the neck injury doesn’t hurt him and he can pass his physical.

20. Detroit Lions: Center Frank Ragow, Arkansas

At 20, the Detroit Lions tried to get better on their front line with the selection of Ragow. Whether he’s playing Guard or Center, Ragow will come in and help protect Matthew Stafford right away.

21. Cincinnati Bengals: Center Billy Price, Ohio State

Bengals tried to make their offensive line better with the pick of Price, who I think will come in and start.

22. Tennessee Titans: ILB Rashaan Evans, Alabama

With the selection of Evans, the Titans tried make sure that they help a leader among their front seven. Evans will help the Titans in the run game as he can move side to side and make any tackle.

23. New England Patriots: Tackle, Isaiah Wynn Georgia

Losing Nate Solider in the offseason hurt the Patriots in a big way. With the 23rd pick in the draft, they try and draft his replacement in Isaiah Wynn.

24. Carolina Panthers: WR DJ Moore, Maryland

The Carolina Panthers need help at WR and draft one here with the selection of DJ Moore from Maryland. Moore stands six feet tall and can run every route. I think this was a great selection. Hopefully, he will be healthy.

25. Baltimore Ravens: TE Hayden Hurst, South Carolina

Joe Flacco needs some help on offense and the Ravens believe Hurst will help Flacco out with their 25th Overall Pick.

26. Atlanta Falcons: WR Calvin Ridley, Alabama

Wow! What a pick. Falcons drafting Ridley gives them a straight number two receiver who will complement well with another former Alabama WR in Julio Jones. With teams double teaming and maybe triple teaming Julio, look for Ridley to get a lot of balls thrown his way.

27. Seattle Seahawks: RB Rashad Penny, San Diego State

With a need of the defensive side, the pick was kinda surprised with the selection of Penny. Penny, however, will help Russell Wilson, as he will be another pass catcher along with running the ball.

28. Pittsburgh Steelers: S Terrell Edmunds, VA Tech

With a need of Safety, the Pittsburgh Steelers select Safety Terrell Edmunds From VA Tech. Edmunds has long range and can physically cover with all type of tight ends, wide receivers, and running backs.

29. Jacksonville Jaguars: DT Tavern Bryan, Florida

The Jaguars with this selection grab a defensive tackle in Florida Tavern Bryan to go with an already scary front seven that get after the opposing quarterbacks and shut down their run game. Look for Bryan to be in the rotation and trying to make some plays to help the Jaguars.

30. Minnesota Vikings: CB Mike Hughes, UCF

Terrance Newman is getting old and Vikings needed another CB. With this selection, the Vikings are hopeful that Hughes can come in and be the number two (maybe even number one) cornerback and help them get to the Super Bowl.

31. New England Patriots: RB Sony Michel, Georgia

With the 31st pick, the Patriots select another Georgia player in RB Sony Michel. Sony Michel will share the backfield with four other Patriots RB, but of course, the Patriots will look to use him in certain schemes like the Saints use RB Alvin Kamara.

32. Baltimore Ravens: QB Lamar Jackson, Louisville

With the final selection of the first round, the Ravens trade back up into the first round to draft QB Lamar Jackson. With this pick, it looks like the Ravens are ready to move on from Joe Flacco. This will be Joe Flacco's year to do something or he’s gone. Good job, Ozzie!!
