The Year I Fell In Love With Writing
2007 was the year a lot of changes happened for me. Some I would like to forget (the usual stupid awkward high school stuff lolz.), and some I would never forget. This post will be about the moment I found out writing could be a major part in my life. Whether it be applying for jobs, jotting random thoughts for my blog page, song lyrics I think about or story ideas. Writing has never left me and became a major part in my life from 2007-2021 and its looking like beyond that. I think its cool to take a moment and think to yourself why certain events in your life made you who you are. And this is mine. Heres when I found writing in 2007.

The Last Sunny Day With My Grandad
July 4th 2018 is the day that this happened. Now that I'm reflecting on it. Its become one of the most blessed days of my life that I'll forever cherish. The day stared like this. We haven't seen sun in a while (Seattle weather). And my grandad had just came back from a nursing home. He was recovering from a health related scare. It felt great having him back home and not dealing with doctors and nurses 24/7. Life was back to normal and the weather that day was a plus. He asks me if we could run some errands today and I was glad to help. I was also acting as his care giver at the the time. We headed out to get our day started. We picked up some meds and toiletries at the local Walgreens. And some lottery tickets at the neighboring corner store. All while seeing some familiar faces that recognized me and my grandad. Seeing him laugh having conversations with people who weren't his nurse or doctors 24/7 made me happy that he was back to his old routine.

Why My Hero Academia Is Better Than Dragon Ball Z (anime)
The Dragon Ball franchise may have laid the foundation down for many anime after it, but foundation doesn't always mean better. Here's an example. The Nokia phones were cool at the time, but I'd rather have the latest Iphone or Samsung (Yes I did compare DBZ to the Nokia phone.) Dragon Ball Z gave us epic power ups, memorable rivalry's, colorful villains and crazy ass attacks from characters we'll never forget and much more to name or even remember. However there's no denying the anime hasn't aged well through time. Old fans of DBZ like me laugh at the jokes this series gets because its true. Jokes like fights taking a handful of episodes to get to and when the fight finally starts we have to wait for ANOTHER episode. Watching My Hero Academia I was not only remembering, but comparing my time as a viewer to both shows. It inspired me to write about this. It maybe an unpopular opinion for now while you're reading this. Hopefully by the end of this post I'll have you convinced and you'll be on my side. Whether you're like most DBZ fans who wont admit there are better shows out there, and wont give the new kid on the block his props. Or if you're an old DBZ fan and don't know nothing about this show or any other anime. I hope I'll be able to convince you to pick this show up and give it a try maybe it'll lead you to other great shows as well. Any ways whether you like it or not. Here's why I personally think My Hero Academia is better than Dragon Ball Z.

Being A Content Creator For Vocal
When financial responsibilities were piling up. The rent also rising up, and just me wanting to buy more freaking cool stuff. I had to find ways of making extra money. Specifically what I call "throw away money." Money that I can use to spend on my hobbies, unhealthy and healthy habits and my vices. I need lots of notebooks because one of my hobbies is writing. I'm old fashioned. The first draft always goes on paper before I type on the computer. I have a habit of buying an energy drink at least once a week to give me a little extra kick for the day when I write and work out. Some might put that in the unhealthy habit or vice category. I'll let you decide. A few of my vices are sushi, tequila and at least a once or twice a week visit to the ramen or pho spot. Now knowing this little bit about me I'll tell you that I was sad when I couldn't visit my favorite sport for comfort food as frequent as I used to. Luckily for me a friend of mines recommended this site to me. I am a person that likes to talk about anything and everything if it interests me. politics, pop culture, sports etc. and vocals format lets you type about all of that. You're not in the pocket as the "sports guy" or "pop culture" guy. Your page is your page.

Why Ash's Bulbasaur Is The Batman Of His Original Team
1.) They Both Are Equipped With Projectiles Bulbasaur and Batman both have projectiles they use against their enemies. Batman has smoke bombs, various batarangs and putty bombs. Bulbasaur has razor leaf, leech seed, poison powder and sleep powder. probably more that I'm forgetting to list from both. Its clear Batmans belt and Bulbasaurs bulb are both pretty well equipped for battle. Only difference is Bulbasaur can only use 4 of those attacks and Batmans are many more compartments on his belt. Even though Bulbasaur can only use 4 attacks I still wouldn't want to face off against any of them!

What I Got From Watching 'Joker'
Now that the hype has died down and a good majority of people have seen this movie I thought I'd talk about the Joker flick. After watching Joker I felt the intention of the movie was to not only provide me the viewer with solid entertainment. It was also meant to make the viewer look at the type of person they are when they're around others. One of the few things that bothered me about the movie wasn't even in the movie. It was people saying they understand where Arthur was coming from, or they could relate to him. Or they understand why he did what he did when he was spiraling out of control. It seems like little to none of those comments online were people saying we've got to treat each other better. Yes because we might potentially send a fellow human being off the edge of sanity, but also because it's just the right thing to do. Every Gothamite felt like they were in their own bubble concentrating on their own world and own problems. The lady on the bus who wanted Arthur to stop making her kid laugh, to Arthur's coworkers. They all reminded me of people in the city I live in (Seattle). Very few greet you happily or strike a genuine conversation with a stranger, and if they do they're most likely from out of town.

I Ate a Double Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese While on Edibles
Have you planned to eat food high because you knew it was gonna taste better? Of course you have, you're reading this, or the title looked entertaining. Well for those who don't know food taste 100 times better when you're high. Every once in a while you'll come across food that tastes beyond magnificent. It'll make you want to tell your friends about it. The feeling is beyond flavor. I encountered this feeling twice eating while I was high. The first was a fruity pebbles treat—fruity pebbles made like rice krispey's treats. Second was a double bacon quarter pounder with cheese meal at McDonald's.

Try Zipfizz Energy as an Alternative to Your Usual Canned Drink
I remember having one of these Zipfizz tubes being passed to me by a family member. I was complaining about being tired and not getting enough sleep. We had to attend to a serious matter. I went to a corner store gas station, but they didn't have my usual choice of energy drink there. My cousin tells me, "Oh! why didn't you say anything? I have one of these with me. It's cool, take one. Just mix it with water."

Why Did Ash's Bulbasaur Not Evolve in the Mysterious Garden?
The other day I was finishing my cycle of the original Pokemon Indigo league season and I happened to be on the "Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden" episode. Here's a little bit of a rundown on what happened that episode in case you don't remember. It was when Ash's Bulbasaur refused to evolve at their species of Pokemon's traditional ceremony. Rewatching this as an adult, I realized so much of the brilliant writing between the lines went over my head as a kid. I only saw what was presented on the surface, just a Pokemon that was refusing to evolve. When you really think about it though, refusing to change in front of hundreds of your own kind, which has been a generational tradition of your kind, was a brave and defiant act on Ash's Bulbasaur's behalf. What was the reason though? Was it selfish or selfless? Or was he just not ready? I have a theory, and I want to share it. Let's continue down memory lane a bit more shall we?

A Message to the Casual Viewers of Boxing Like Stephen A. Smith
When a game happens in most sports, we don't go in 100% of the time expecting for the same team to win. We hope for a good game. If baseball gave us the Yankees vs Red Sox every year, there wouldn't be as many baseball fans as usual. If basketball gave us the Celtics vs the Lakers every year, only Celtic and Lakers' fans would watch the playoffs. There'd be no point in enjoying that sport. Which brings me to the sport of boxing. For some reason, the casual fan, for years, grew too dependent on "the big fight" to happen, the main example today being Joshua vs Wilder in the heavyweight division. Joshua took a loss to Andy Ruiz. The boxing world and the once-thought-dead division now has a fire lit underneath them; another contender is in the mix. For close to a decade, the only name that mattered was Klitschko. At one point, that name was so big, the biggest fantasy fight in the heavyweight division was Klitschko vs Klitschko. In 2019, top names in the heavyweight division now consist of Wilder, Fury, Ruiz, Joshua, Whyte, Ortiz, Parker, Joyce and rising prospects like Daniel Dubois. For some reason though, the Ruiz win was met with criticism from the casual side. When words like "disgrace" and the continuous body shaming are being used first, instead of looking at the fact that a fighter with over 105 amateur victories just became the first heavyweight champion of his ethnicity, you have to acknowledge the lack of respect and knowledge for the sport that the individual has. Hopefully, this article can get more people to look into the rich history of boxing first, rather than be a cheerleader to only two mainstream names.
