Donald Trump "really need a friend right now," Invites Putin to G7 Summit
President Donald Trump invited President Vladimir Putin, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India to the Group of Seven (G7) Summit. Australia, Brazil, and South Korea have also shown interest in joining the G7 Summit which is now being held in September. When asked why President Trump invited Russia, Trump said, “I just really need a friend right now.” Canada and other nations disagreed with Trump’s decision. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s comments on inviting Russia, “All Russia does is cause drama. We get to do this once a year, I don’t want Russia to ruin a good time. Like hello, Crimea? Such a dick move.” Boris Johnson, the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister, was especially displeased, “Seriously? They tried to kill one of my agents. And I thought if I did my hair like Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin would welcome us with open arms.”

Are the Steelers Contenders or Pretenders?
Ah yes it is that time of year again and I’m not talking about the holiday season, I am talking about second half football. With the 23-16 defeat over the Baltimore Ravens Sunday, the Steelers stayed atop the AFC North. The Steelers have been hot lately. Offense and defense are finally complimenting each other on the field and the “Fire Tomlin,” crowd seems to be hiding. Have the Steelers done enough to be contenders?

It's James Conner Time in Pittsburgh
The Pittsburgh Steelers, led by James Conner, won Sunday 33-18 against Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns. James Conner had 146 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. Conner was 34 yards shy of running what Baker Mayfield threw on Sunday (180). This was James Conner’s third straight game running for 100+ yards and scoring 2+ touchdowns, his fourth of the season. He is the first back in Steelers history and in the NFL since 2009 to do that. Pending the Patriots Bills game on Monday Night, Conner is third on the NFL’s rushing leaders list with 599 yards. He is also beneficial in the pass game. He averages 10.4 yards per reception. He is 4th in yards from scrimmage with 992. At the end of the day, receiving or rushing, James Conner averages almost six yards per play when he touches the football. Le’Veon Bell is still holding out. The question isn’t will Le’Veon be himself when he comes back, but rather is James Conner the starting back for the Pittsburgh Steelers? It’s only been seven games for the Steelers, but I say yes it is time.

In a conference that seems to be the Ohio State show every week, the Iowa Hawkeyes are not backing down without a fight. Iowa doesn't have the toughest schedule. They have faced a good Iowa State team and Wisconsin so far. They have to play a ranked Penn State and Northwestern who currently leads the Big Ten West standings. If Iowa can win-out, are they worthy enough to be in the playoff?
